Back to School: 1st Grade

First Day of School. We almost missed the bus because we weren't sure what time it would come this year.

Yesterday we went to drop off Bryan's supplies. Here is Moreland Elementary.

Bryan's classroom. His teacher is Mrs. Evan's.

Bryan was so excited to have his own desk this year.
I can't believe he will be gone all day. It seems weird without him. Blake was very jealous that he didn't get to go to school. "It's taking too long," says Blake.

I saw this picture on my computer screen and I wanted to cry. It's Bryan 6 1/2 years ago. Why did my baby have to grow up?

Poison control

I now have the number to Poison Control memorized, thanks to my son Caleb (2yrs)!!! I had to call it, again, because he got into windex this time. Luckily the people at Poison Control are very nice, and don't make you feel like a bad mother. They just told me that windex has alcohol, so watch to see if he becomes intoxicated (no kidding that is what they told me!) He is fine. He told me he threw it out the upstairs window. I was in the shower when this happened. There wasn't much in the bottle to begin with. There is a reason we call him "TROUBLE".

So, in case you don't know the number it is: 1-800-222-1222!!!!

Big Weekend- 4th of July

Our Fun weekend started Thursday. We went camping for the first time with just our family. We went to the Falls Campground by Swan Valley.
Thanks to Mickie and Jeff we borrowed their tent so that we could all fit. The boys thought it was tons of fun. We got attacked by mosquitos the moment we stepped out of the van.
Shilo was the cook for this trip. We had chicken burgers for dinner and pancakes for breakfast. He likes to do it.
Gavin was actually quite fussy that night. One of us had to always be holding him. Which made it extremely hard to help the other 3 boys. But they all slept really well that night.
The Next day we took a hike to the Falls. They are off the road about 1 mile from the campground. It is about 60 feet down. The boys thought they were really cool. I was really scared for them to get to close to the side of the edge because there is nothing to stop you. They wanted to throw things down the water.
Here is just a little pond on top of the water fall that we let them play in.
Gavin rode in the stroller on the way there, and Shilo carried him half of the way back. I stopped with the boys off the side of the road, while shilo went to get the van. It was getting really hot the boys were tired and moving too slow.

Friday night I went to my 10 year High School Reunion. It was okay. I just wish more of my friends had come. At least we got to eat Johnny Carino's!

Late that night we also took Bryan and Blake to the drive in to see TOY STORY 3!!! It was fun and we all stayed awake through the whole movie and got home after midnight.

Saturday morning we went to the IF Parade with mom and dad. It was cold and windy. That is IDAHO for ya!
We learned you don't get any candy unless you sit in the very front with all of the people. Next time, Bring our own candy!

That afternoon we had a bbq at Jared and Amber's house in Rigby. Kurt is showing the delicious hamburgers. (I love this picture!)

Bryan and Josiah.
It was Gabriel's 3rd birthday and they ate cupcakes. The kids were eating their frosting, then putting more on their cupcakes, over and over. Bryan had a tummy ache. We all had lots of fun. The best was Jalene's homemade icecream and Nancy S. homemade cherry pie!!! Yum.

I also got to go visit Grandma Tietjen in the rest home. It was a neat experience. It was exactly a year ago that Grandpa died. It was neat to be with Grandma on that day. Love you Grandma.
That night we were exhausted from such a full weekend. We did find some left over fireworks from last year. Shilo had fun lighting them off the and boys enjoyed it.
Happy 4th of July!!!

Trip to Hogle Zoo

Our Trip to Utah, started by driving to my Grandpa Cooley's Grave site in the Francis Cemetary.
Here is My Great Grandparent's old house that they lived in. It is really run down and full of poop (literally). Shilo loved to look at the old barns. We wish we had the money to buy it and fix it up.

At our Hotel in Provo, we went swimming in the pool and had lots of fun with Brookie, Aaron, and Addison.

The kids first time sleeping in a hotel. The boys like jumping on the beds. We also got a phone call in the middle of the night, from the front desk because Blake was moaning and calling out in his sleep and the lady next to us complained.

My cute niece Addison on her bike outside thier apartment.

Here we are at Hogle Zoo. It was lots of fun and hot. It was kind of tricky to keep all four kids together.
The boys loved the animals. Blake's favorite was the cheetah, Bryan's the monkeys, Caleb's the giraffe. Mine was the baby Elephant Zuri.
Our family picture at the Zoo.
We ate pizza for lunch, but they were out of plates. So, Brookie cut up the cardboard with Shilo's knife, and made our own plates.
We got to ride the Train. We had lots of fun with Brookie and Aaron and Addison. We can't wait for our next trip to see them next year!!!

Summer Fun

This summer we started Swimming Lessons. The boys are having so much fun doing it together.

Their favorite is the slide.

Gavin is almost 6 months old. We are trying to get him to sit up.

Every Wednesday night we go to the church and play family baseball with people from our ward. It is lots of fun. Here we are practicing just with our family. We bought Blake a tee because he was having a hard time hitting the ball, and then he would get bored.

Bryan loves Baseball.

Caleb learned to say "my turn."

We even got mom to hit the ball!

To combat the rainy weather, we did crafts. This day was Indian art. Caleb got a little carried away with the markers and war paint. It was so funny.

We are excited for some more Sunny Weather!! I feel like we have been waiting so long for it, that summer is going to go by really fast.

Kindergarten Graduation

Kindergarten Graduation Today!! Bryan will be in the High School Graduating Class of 2022! (It makes you feel old).

This is Bryan with his teacher Mrs. Warren. Bryan's favorite thing about kindergarten was playing with the toys.

Here we are watching the graduation ceremony.

This is Bryan's class in the blue, Mrs. Warren's PM class and Miss Lyman's class. The kids sang songs, got thier diploma's, and then we watched a slide show of thier year in school.
At the very beginning they introduced each child and told what they said that they wanted to be when they grew up. Bryan had said "A future policeman. He wants to keep the bad guys out of trouble and put them in jail. It's a very important job. He will need police clothes and a badge."
I asked Bryan about it and he said he now wants to be a junk collector and invent things from the junk.
I can't believe Kindergarten is already over. Bryan and I are excited not to have to catch the bus anymore, or have to turn in homework. Bryan got to do lots of fun stuff and is already reading small books. Blake was sad on the way home, because Bryan got some toys from Mrs. Warren. He says "BRYAN gets to have Everything!" I told him when he goes to school he will get to have things too. "I know," says Blake, "but it is taking tooo long!"
