In Loving Memory

Last month Shilo and I both lost our Grandmas.  The only two days that it snowed in November where the days that we had funerals.  We loved our Grandmas and they both lived examples of Christ-like lives.

My Grandma Beth Tietjen passed away Oct. 28, 2011.  I loved to hear my Grandma sing and she would play games with us.  I got to grow up right next door to them, so I have many precious memories. But now she gets to be with Grandpa in Heaven.  Grandma had dementia/ Alzheimers for about 3 years.

 Shilo's Grandma LaVerda Bingham passed away Nov. 26, 2011 at the age of 95.  We loved visiting them because we lived so close.  She would let us pick apples and would always give the boys cookies and play with her farm toys.

Rachael took this picture at the funeral.  It is most of all of Shilo's cousins and their families.  Grandpa is in the middle.  What a posterity!

It has been an humbling experience to lose loved ones.  We are just grateful for the gospel and the plan of salvation.  We know that Families are Forever!

Blake's 6th Birthday!

 Thanksgiving 2011

We ate at the church and had so much fun.  We also played at the Ammon school.  It was a nice day outside and the kids loved it.

 We had fun playing with balls in the gym, going on a treasure hunt, preforming songs, and playing games.  We wore the kids out!

Florida Vacation!

Shilo and I went to Florida for our ten year anniversary and had such a blast.  We really missed our kids though, and were happy to come home.  I just didn't realize how cold it is in Idaho compared to Florida!

Gavin and Caleb stayed with Nana and Bapa.  The hardest part was seeing them drive away. 

Bryan and Blake stayed the week with Grandma and Grandpa Bingham.  Bryan was quite sad that we were leaving.

We got to spend a day with Kolby and Rachael in Disney World.  Here is in front of Magic Kingdom.  We had such a fun time together.

We got to meet Rapunzel.  I am showing this picture for my nieces.

It was fun to have time together.

Later that day we went to Epcot.

I love this picture.  My favorite part of Epcot was seeing the different countries.

The next day we went to Sea World.  Shilo got to feed the dolphins.

That night we went to the Orlando Temple.  There were only 4 people in the session and we were the witness couple.

The next day we went to Saint Augustine, the oldest city in the U.S.  This fort is 450 years old!

We also stopped by the Atlantic Ocean!

We stayed the night with the Sopalski Family. These are her grand kids.

The next day we went to a Civil War Fort Clinche. 

It is also by the Atlantic Ocean.  We found seashells for the boys.

We spent the day and stayed the night with the Derks family.  It was fun to get to know the people Shilo taught on his mission.

GLAD TO BE HOME AND TO BE A FAMILY AGAIN!

It was a fun trip.  I don't fly on airplanes very well.  We couldn't have done it if it weren't for our wonderful parents who took such good care of our boys.  We really appreciate their help.  If we go back we want to take our kids with us, because we missed them so much.

School Days Again! Yahooo!

Bryan and Blake started school this week.  Bryan started Monday and Blake started today.

Last Thursday we took school supplies and met the teachers.  This is Blake's classroom with Mrs. Esplin at Moreland Elementary.

First Day of School.

Blake had a hard time waking up, but once he got ready he was so excited.  His friend Keaton is in his class.

I am glad that they get to ride the bus together.  They really look like twins.

It wouldn't be the first day of school without someone crying!  Caleb wanted to go too!

I never cry on the first day of school.  I just can't believe that I put my baby on that bus!!!!!

Fishing, Bear Lake, and Rexburg

The boys wanted to try fishing.  (We didn't think we'd catch anything)  We learned that a few of them had no patience for fishing.

The end of July we went to BEAR Lake.  We love Bear Lake!!!

We stopped in Montpelier to see the pioneer museum.  We found an item that belonged to one of Shilo's ancestor who was a body guard to the Prophet Joseph Smith.

 We had a hard time finding a campsite our first night. It was very stressful because the kids were tired and hungry and everything was taken. Some nice people let us use theirs for just the night.

We went on a hike near our campsite.

We didn't go to far on the hike because the mosquitos were eating us alive, and one of the bridges further up was under water.

 The next day we found a new campsite along the other side of the beach at the Idaho State Park.

We found a little spot for us.  We didn't go to North beach because the water is so high and there were so many people.

We had so much fun on t his alligator from Kim.  The beach was so rocky and the reeds were everywhere.  But we still had lots of fun!

Gavin didn't like the water, but he loved the beach.  We had sand in everything because of him!

This is our second camp spot.  We had fun, but it was really hot, because there are no trees!

 Where does Gavin sleep?  ANY WHERE HE WANTS TOO!

I had to add these.  He fell asleep one day at the table after lunch while I was doing dishes.

The next day I found him here by the door.  I know this is a long blog, just hang in there!

Yesterday we went to the movies with the boys and then we went to visit Rexburg.  We haven't been back for a long time.  We first went to the Temple.  We weren't there for more than 5 minutes and all of them had to go to them bathroom.  So we had to drive to the nearest building to find one!

I just love the Garden's.  They have always been my favorite spot.

We walked around campus and couldn't believe the changes.  It brought back so many memories!  We really enjoyed it.  This is the new auditorium connected to the Hart Building.

This is the new auditorium.  My kids asked if it was the Conference center.  It is almost just as big!

This is the new addition to the Manwarring Center.  It is just huge!  It also connects to the Library.

We had so much fun walking down memory lane.  We even showed the boys where we use to live, and where Blake was born.  We had a fun time.  School starts next week so we are getting the last of our Summer Time Fun!
